Advice please – Joining 2nd bathroom wastes to existing?

Hi all,

I’m in the planning phase for some house alterations and would appreciate any advice concerning the plumbing installation for an additional 1st floor bathroom.

The images attached show the existing layout and new layout proposed. In summary, I want to build a second (first floor) ensuite bathroom next to the existing main bathroom. The building work will require the removal of the existing 110mm soil pipe, which receives the water waste flow from both the hand basin and shower via separate 40mm pipes. The building work means that the waste outlets from the existing bathroom need to be extended by approx. 4m to the closest new location for the 100m vertical soil pipe.

My main questions are;

1. Joining the new wastes..Is it acceptable for me to just join the new ensuite waste outlets to the extended existing outlets

Share my Garden

The seed swap in early March was the last time that I was out in public, and today, because the weather is cold and rather miserable, I’m feeling a little caged in. Not so the plants in the garden, the rain has catapulted them into growth. Every year I intend to stake the perennials in my borders before their heads flop forward or their stems break in the wind. Oh, I’m full of good intentions! But once again I got round to thinking about it only when the growth was already lush and threatening to be out of control. The wind broke off two delphinium stalks and I went online to see what supports I could buy.

The new supports came this week and now the delphiniums have been crammed into tall peony cages – if I have to be on lock down I’m not going to do it alone!

What elements should I consider for designing my kitchen?

There are a lot of factors that you need to consider when you plan to design a new kitchen or remodel it. A kitchen is often the hub of the home, so it is very important to get it right, otherwise, it is heartbreaking. Kitchen remodelling needs more thought than picking a few colours and materials. There are many factors that you need to consider such as
