Cindy Musgrove, Dallas stager and owner of Blu Sky Living, is selling her Highland Park home. From the curbside, the home gives off a transitional feeling with a mix of French chateau qualities and more modern design elements.

Musgrove said that part of the reason they originally chose the home was because it was unique to the area.

“It looks like no one else’s house,” she said.

The 7,233-square-foot home sits on a wide lot of 0.38 acres. The home has five bedrooms, five bathrooms, one half-bathroom and a large pool in the backyard.

Inside, the home acts as a crisp, neutral canvas for pops of color — one of Musgrove’s favorite design elements. On the first floor, a dining room is surrounded by multiple windows and the living room centers around a classically-styled fireplace. The family room, a larger room with paneled walls, provides views to the backyard through multiple sets of French doors.

The kitchen is an all-white affair and centers around a large island with room for barstools. Musgrove said that the kitchen has all the amenities needed for hosting, something their family does on a regular basis — two ovens, a commercial-grade range and a massive refrigerator.

An office also sits on the first floor with a large fireplace that acts as a focal point.

The home is three stories, and the primary suite sits on the second floor. The suite is complete with a sitting area, coffee bar, cedar closets and a luxurious bathroom.

There are three more bedrooms on the second floor, and the remaining bedroom sits up on the third floor. Also on the third floor is a large sitting area with plenty of natural light.

The Musgroves are moving because they are ready for a new project and to create a new home for their family.

“I love designing and creating beautiful spaces,” Musgrove said. “There’s nothing that feels more wonderful than creating your own space, a new space for a family.”

One of the features the family loves most is the backyard, which they designed to have a Santa Barbara feel. The pool is the most central piece of design, surrounded by numerous seating areas and an outdoor fireplace.

Musgrove said they wanted the backyard to feel tucked away and private, so they brought in live oak trees to cover the grounds.
